     James Hammond was born between 31 Mar 1814 and 29 Mar 1816 in Rishangles, Suffolk, England.3 He was the son of James Hammond.2 James Hammond married Mary Anne Hayward, daughter of Jeremiah Hayward and Elizabeth Jolly, in Feb 1839 in All Saints, Wetheringsett Cum Brockford, Suffolk, England. Friday in February between 31st January and 29th June. Witnesses were John Robert Hammond, Elizabeth Roper & Cornelius Gibb.2 The marriage of James Hammond and Mary Anne Hayward was registered in the Mar 1839 quarter in the Hartismere registration district.1
