     George Allen was born between 10 Jun 1768 and 8 Jun 1770.2 He married Hannah Holmes on 2 Apr 1794 in St. Michael & All Angels, Occold, Suffolk, England.3 George Allen was "A fire at the King's Head, then occupied by Mr George Allen, which did considerable damage. Mr. John Abbot's shop, the premises contiguous were for some time considered in great danger. Most of the property was removed, but happily the fire was got under, and did not reach any other premises. the fire first began in the back house, and from thence it soon communicated with the Cellar, Staircase and Chamber. For some time it raged to such a degree and the building being old that the whole building with Mr Abbot's also, must have been destroyed but for the prompt assistance of the neighbours. It was stopped, destroying a few Studs, part of a Chamber floor and a few articles of furniture." in Nov 1814.4,5 He died before 9 Jun 1824.2 He was buried on 9 Jun 1824 in St. Mary Magdalene, Debenham, Suffolk, England.2
