The 1939 National Register was taken on the night of Friday 29th September, 1939. This was to create an accurate register of everyone in the Country in the prelude to War.

Heads Of The Households
The Schedule for TXHO includes both the Parish of Aspall and the Parish of Rishangles. Schedules 1 to 37 covers Aspall and is complete. Schedules 38 to 100 cover the Parish of Rishangles and has not been transcribed.
There are are still many people whose records are still closed, implying they are still alive and are therefore not (knowingly) on this website.

Experience has shown that some Birth Dates in the Register are a year out. It would appear that the Enumerator asked for peoples Birth day and month, but then asked them how old they were, rather than asking for the year of birth.
